The Pretty Girl’s Tailgate Season Survivor Kit 🍂📓🏈
Tailgate season is here, and while everyone else is worried about the score, we’re worried about showing up prepared because let’s be real, the tailgate is basically fall’s biggest outdoor party. It’s chilly mornings that turn into sunny afternoons, loud music, endless snacks, and the occasional football being tossed your way. It’s long, it’s messy, and it’s where your pretty girl prep really comes in clutch. So consider this your tailgate survival playbook – part fashion, part function, and all PGP-coded.
1. The Game Day Journal
Every season deserves receipts. Your Game Day Drop journal isn’t just for class notes, it’s your sideline sidekick. Track scores, scribble team chants, or make it your memory book of the season (think ticket stubs taped in, funny quotes from friends, or your “tailgate of the week” highlights). You’ll thank yourself later when you flip back to the spread covered in nacho stains and laughter.
2. Hydration, But Make It Cute
The PSL might keep your hands warm, but it won’t get you through six hours of tailgating. Bring a reusable water bottle! Bonus points if it’s decked out in sporty-girly stickers from the Game Day Drop. Staying hydrated is non-negotiable, especially when you’re balancing cider in one hand and a bratwurst in the other.
3. The Beauty Starting Lineup
Lip gloss, mascara, mini perfume, and a compact mirror a.k.a the basics. Tailgates have a way of turning into pop-up photoshoots (sometimes when you least expect it). Your kit makes sure you look as fresh in the 4th quarter as you did at the pregame. Toss them in a pouch so they don’t get lost under snack wrappers.
4. Portable Charger
Your phone’s battery will not survive without backup. Between Instagram stories, group chats about where to meet, and fantasy football checks, it’s going to tap out faster than the opposing team’s defense. Keep a charger or battery pack handy so you’re never the girl begging for a cord at halftime.
5. The Cozy Layer
There’s always that moment where the sun dips, the breeze kicks in, and suddenly you’re shivering in your cute crop top. Pack a hoodie or crewneck (“Don’t Text Him” Hoodie, obviously). It doubles as warmth and as a blanket to sit on when the bleachers get too cold. Chic and functional = touchdown.
6. Snacks = Social Currency
Snacks aren’t just sustenance, they’re strategy. Bring something shareable (trail mix, popcorn, candy corn mix) and you’ll instantly become the girl everyone gravitates toward. It’s also peak main-character behavior when someone says, “Who brought this?” and your hand casually goes up.
7. Clear Tote or Mini Backpack
Pretty girls come prepared and stadium-approved. A clear tote keeps you game-day legal, and it also gives you an excuse to show off the cuteness inside: your journal peeking out, a wrapped PSL, maybe a good book for the drive home.
Tailgate season isn’t just about surviving the chaos, it’s about making it yours. With your survivor kit ready, you’ll be cheering, journaling, and staying cozy all season long. Pretty girls don’t just show up to the tailgate – they run it.
